Basic laser printer for home use

I am looking to get a basic laser printer for home use. Monochrome, single function printer. Linux support is a must.

If they are simple documents, you might want to just get a HP Ink Advantage Cloud Enabled Printer Though it might still cost around 2 rupee per page. Maybe close to Rs. 1 per page in draft mode.

Let me check them. How good are Epson Inktank printers?. L130 in particular.

I use HP Laserjet Professional M1136 MFP for me its pretty good.. and also its all in one.. Printer + Copier + Scanner and its monochrome laser printer.

I print approx 1000pages per month and it works fine , I am using it from last 1 year and I can vouch for it.. and for ink you can get it refilled at 250rs for around 2300 pages approx.. and sometimes changing drums and all cost around 500rs extra but this is after 3/4 times of refilling...

Ordered this. Hope this will be good. Epson's parent Seiko makes some awesome stuff.

I hate INKJET Printers these are slow , also very costly in terms of INK.. and has very huge ink consumption also gets damaged if not used properly also the print quality is not so much good like that of Laser.

the Epson model i believe support external ink tanks which makes it quite cost effective.

Yeh I have seen that but then also it will consume a lot of ink even if its refilled..I guess so.. bcoz INKJET printing requires a lot of ink.

I currently have both. A HP Inkjet that is cloud enabled and a cheap Ricoh laser. I love them both. I can scan directly to my phone from the HP printer. I use this feature a lot. Any important document that comes in the house, I put it on it, scan it, turn it into a PDF, upload it to Google Drive right on my phone. It's incredible. I also print on this from multiple devices (everything wireless). I needed that because dad has a Chromebook. But I also use it for photocopies and taking colored printouts. A Rs. 500 cartridge works for around 6 months. Probably more. I have never really noticed because it lasts for long enough. Ricoh is a basic printer. Needs Windows. But works well for bulk printing. The original toner is working till now. Has been a while since I got it. I hear it can take the official Ricoh refills for at least 2-3 times so yeah it's incredibly cheap. But does not offer the convenience of a cloud enabled printer.
