Can we expect jiofi 2 to get unlocked via tricks after the preview offer? Airtel Mifi devices with Huawei manufacturer are getting unlocked and even available on Amazon. Should I buy jiofi 2 or wait for a good unlocked wifi hotspot device to be launched and available?
 
I am not sure if Mifi 2 has support for 3G/2G brands. Even if it is unlocked, you won't be able to use 3G/2G if you are out of 4G coverage area of other operators. .
 
The streaming has effed up today.I hope its only one off.Not even 480p is being streamed without buffering.

Someone posted a link to a version offered by a Malaysian service provider. That hasn't been unlocked yet so I don't think so.

Man, These is shitty Haier company router, not the so called famous Huawei or Zte. Never expect it to get unlocked even if you manages to, then also their is no connect/disconnect button in these router , no messaging or USSD code facility , means you are at god's grace or your balance gets eaten up. Lastly, Jio is offering their sims for free , Don't even try to waste money for device for next 3 months as these muft ke downloader's will fully choke the network.Finally no, 3G and 2G bands available, only Band 3,5,40 supported. Thirdly, Jio is giving very selective treatmet to each websites, Like their jio apps gets good speed but youtube , Hotstar , sonyliv , netflix are all still at 20 KBps , don't even think of playing videos at this speed. Finally , I must tell you that they are selling the Mifi at the exact MRP , The chances of it's price ,going down is probable in a month or so. Don't do the mistake I did better play the wait game just like the JIO is doing with commercial launch.
 
FYI, though probability of getting unlocked in case of Huawei or ZTE but don't expect every huawei dongle to be unlocked. I have huawei made Idea datacard and it can't be unlocked. Now a days they do Chipset level locking which is impossible to get unlocked. :p:p
 
PSA: Power cycle your JioFi every couple days. Mine slowed down to 5/7 after 9 days uptime and a reboot brought it back up to 20/8.
 
@RedskyITM Will be trying that, But its seems weird that 850Mhz(Iside home) is giving me 8 Mbps and 2300Mhz (In terrace ) is giving me 20KBps. How to get that 1800Mhz band ?
