Hello! I am looking to buy JioFi in bulk. But I have some questions to ask.

1. What is your JioFi Model Number?

2. Does your JioFi allow Port-Forwarding?

3. Your WAN IP is different from Public IP?

Let me know.

Thanks.

Port forwarding may not work in Jio due to double NAT.
What WAN IP your device shows will be different that what the outside world sees of you. Basically Jio is worthless for serious users who do port forwarding, use DDNS or WOL services.

Hey. You are talking about JioFi? Can you tell me which modem?

Because I know a guy who runs JioFi without NAT.

Not sure man. But a guy claims to say that in Hyderabad he has JioFi without NAT.

Basically, his WAN IP is = Public IP.

For me, my WAN IP is not equal to Public IP which is Dual NAT.

Do you have any idea which network have the direct IP (not Dual/Double NAT)?

Like Airtel / Vodafone / Idea or anyother which provides direct IP?

Jio's IPv6 is Direct Public or Dual NAT?

Sorry I am not easy with IPv6 yet.
Jio issues public ipv6 address with a natted ipv4 address.
All Mobile Networks use NAT.
Only a few broadband services like Airtel and BSNL issue public ip address.Local ISPs and providers like act, hathway use NAT

How do we port-forward on these 4G Networks then? @vignesh_venkatesan

And, I was easily able to Port-Forward on the Hathway. I don't think they use NAT.
