So I got the SMS for STB delivery with agent's name number and OTP, but the guy hasn't contacted yet.

I am on Rs. 199 plan and have no intention to recharge for any of the regular plans.

Should i contact the guy or leave it alone and let the guy contact me?

So you're saying that we need to recharge for a base plan to get our 199 plan activated.
How is it a standalone plan then?
Jio's planning sucks man. I'm without internet for 2 days now.
 
For some users 199 gets activated on its own but for many it doesn't activate until another base plan is recharged. If it doesn't activate after midnight then you can assume you will need a base plan at least for the first time. Whether it will work after that one month is yet to be seen. Everything about Jio Fiber is unclear.
 
@Shubham You should contact your local Jio executive (who collected the security deposit) for a smooth set top box installation.
I did the same. The executive himself came with the set top box and completed the process.

Don't know where that upcoming plan came from. I never recharged 😬
 
@MadAxe - Users now are saying 199 works after recharging. Wait for a couple of days, if doesn't activate then recharge for a base plan.
Whether 199 truly is stand alone we'll get to knw in time despite the fact that I was told in mail by CC it is standalone.
