This is absolutely good . Mine is in the range of 40 to 60 ms that to even google sites!!!

To those IP addresses even my ping is the range of 60 ms. Which DNS resolver do you use? You get an IP address in Mumbai when you resolve Google whereas for me I get an IP address in Chennai with a latency of around 30 ms.

Traffic from Kerala gets routed through Bangalore, guessing there is some additional latency getting added when going Kerala --> Bangalore --> Mumbai.

So if you switch to a different DNS resolver so that you get directed through Google's Chennai POP, your latency should improve.

Good point! DNS can make a difference in ping times too.

You could try Google DNS and see if it makes a difference

Changed my DNS to google and the issue still persists. The pings are higher than ever. I am posting screenshots .Please do give me suggestions for this issue .Its bugging me greatly with my browsing experience

@philip I'm not sure about that... While in my test I could get varied results
sometimes ping were good most times it spiked highly and had lot of uploading issues in speed test.
After reducing mtu value the issue was resolved.
Iam not well versed in this matter.
Contact the bsnl assistance. You could go contact the LCO - he would connect it to bsnl technical head (that's how they did it for me) they might connect through any desk, check for routing and other issues, that way you would know if something's messed up.

Guess that's the only the way. ☺️
Hope everything gets solved quickly.
