hey everyone!

so i got the bsnl bharat fibre a week ago, downloaded COD MW and saw that my nat type is strict. i have a 200mbps plan and overall its working pretty well. the bsnl people gave me a Alphion AONT-1143 as modem and i connected to it my router TP-Link Archer C5 which i had previously. i tried everything from Upnp to DMZ but nothing is working. please i need help on this. i know this a like the 4th or 5th thread on this topic and people had their issues resolved but i am unable to resolve them. your help would be highly appreciated. and also how to bridge the modem as i guess this might work

please do the needful and kindly help

thanks!
PS- i am not a tech geek so please bear with me ;)

First of all if you got Alphions then I suppose you got worst of the OLT backends, secondly after a massive bot-attack on BSNL infra, the new updates on ONT has made everything go haywire(control don't function as intended), the solution is to put that ONT in bridge mode(basically it does nothing except converting optical signal to electrical) and connect it to a dedicated router, there on you will be able to setup your NAT properly (BSNL right now doesn't do CGNAT with FTTH users)

If NAT type is strict when connecting PC directly to ONT then I guess bridge mode may be the solution.
