Actually with whatsapp, after clearing the clutter I just copy the whole whatsapp folder from the old phone, into new phone, internal memory, which overwrites the new folder created during fresh installation.

Yup.. it's down. While trying to restore backup and login to my account it says "Unable to connect to service."
What a time for server to go down when I was finally checking if backup-restore works properly or not.

lol. signal has no business interests in india like whatsapp/facebook to be answerable to any government dictat. this is the prime difference between whatsapp and other messengers
