what i am saying is that firefox in current version is only showing new tab button when you click on the tab switcher button.
next update seems to add a new tab option in context menu as well.

Is there no 'open in new tab' option on Firefox Android homepage.
I only see 'open in private tab'.
Not sure if this solves your issue but everytime you click on something on the home page it opens up in a new tab by default. Though it immediately switches to that tab, so kind of useless (in case you want to stay on the home page itself)

do check out opera touch and the other browsers they have if their ui meets your requirement.

Isn't that equivalent to opening in the current tab?
I want to open quite a few tabs from the top sites section from the home page itself.
So I would have to open the home page that many times 🤦🏻‍♂️
Is there a workaround? Even after this many builds FF doesn't has this?
