got my unit today. and it feels very premium. has a dock for charging. cap for the brush head. very solid feel to it. much better than mi t300 definitely.
It vibrates. So you don't have to manually scrub. You just move it around and it does the scrubbing bit.
this is my third electric toothbrush after the basic Oral B Cross Action and Mi Electric Toothbrush T300. all of them have been the vibration type. i believe there are some models that have a rotating header. but they tend to be more expensive.
it's a regular brush head. dentists recommend to replace it after at least 3 months. if you brush hard, you might need to replace it sooner.
brush component has nothing to do with motorized system. it would still vibrate. you just wouldn't find it nicer on the teeth after a few months of use.
Used it. It is definitely better than T300. Bristles are also very good quality. Though I couldn't find any difference between the three modes (soft, clean, white). Polish mode is noticeable coz it does variable speed.
i am not sure if sonic branding makes a different. mi t300 doesn't use sonic branding. and vibrations on it were very noticeable while brushing. m1 is very subtle in comparison. you do not feel the actual vibrations that are annoying. instead it is very soft. toothpaste foams quickly and after that it is just smooth operation around the month. very nice overall.
i mean it depends. if you are a terrible brusher like me who ends up brushing too hard when sleepy or bored or tired... this is a good option. i have been exclusively using realme since i got it. and it has been nicer on my teeth. with regular brush, i ended up with bleeding every now and then.
are they better? probably not. all depends upon your technique. if your technique is good and it has worked well for you, they would probably not improve your brushing experience. i am quite happy with realme, coz replacements are cheap and it does the job.
The biggest advantage I have found with electrical brushes are they force you to brush for two full minutes, while using a manual brush, I’d barely ever brush for more than a minute
