Well I hope that the railway staff was not fired for the same. But then if he hadn't the railway would have been sued. But then it would have been sued in either of the cases. You can never tell. But then it's not America so probably no lawsuits were filed.

First I thought the window glasses will break as everyone was pushing glass windows and complete weight of train would go on glasses of the windows.

What I wonder is how he slipped down? Anyone can slip at that spot especially when in rush.
 
Similar incident had happened in Mumbai I think few months back. Some lady got caught in platform and train due to large crowds, and had to lose her hands. I think courts ordered Railways to pay her compensation and also provide job.
 
Well gap in Mumbai local is much bigger than here!! So people automatically are more careful!!
