because the hardware definitely supports it? google tells me that they cannot enable it because of patent reasons.
and there are quite a few devices that support turbo charging these days. apparently Sony xperia z2 even supports it and it is a generation old model.

So as expected, CM was trolling Indians... But my OPO will get updates, but I don't care as I am already using custom ROM... Reg fast charging, my OPO charges fast with given charger, than say my previous phone DroidMAXX.. Its good enough, imho...
I'm gonna unlock the bootloader and root my device minutes after I get it in my hands.
But I don't really find a strong reason to use a custom ROM. CM has done some fabulous work.

I don't know whether my question is even correct or not, but if the hardware supports it then can some software tweaks enable that thing?
the processor and probably the soc supports it. but i guess it might need more than that. otherwise it would have been enabled in third party ROMs. i guess i can drop my plans to dump the n5 and get this. i was hoping to get turbo/rapid charging in my next phone. i can wait for a couple of months.
