While getting demo for my Celerio, Technician who was explaining me features about car about built-in Bluetooth for Music system, he informed that Bluetooth is useful is calls and playing music from paired mobile. I asked if Bluetooth also plays any other audio coming from mobile like Voice Navigation from Maps Apps. He replied it cannot.

But I doubt whether he is correct, and I assume it can play audio coming from other apps as well like Voice Navigation, or read sms.

It should. It is supposed to. My car has internal support for Bluetooth and it works great through it. I play music through the phone and the phone automatically lowers the volume of music when GPS updates are spoken by the map's app.

In fact, even if you use an auxiliary cable, it should still work because it is just broadcasting the voice from the phone itself!

Linea comes with a vintage windows mobile 5 based system. Even in the current generation model. Douche company.

Maruti on the other hand is likely to be using a nippon system?

Fucking Blue&Me. Never really got any useful update. Voice recognition is a joke. Used to hang for me once a year. Required disconnection of battery to reboot.

Steering buttons stopped working for me when the system hanged [emoji16] I don't miss that car. Sadly my friend has not even fully paid for it yet to me. Basically ended a friendship over this stupid sale.

as you explained it seems what is being broadcasted is property of phone and media player will just play what is being broadcasted. There is an option in my phone through which I can restrict media being sent to phone and I always assumed it may block certain bluetooth profile from being activated. Is it not the case?

And therefore there might be a case where Linnea or Celerio (in this case) may not have support for a particular bluetooth profile.
