Seems like you guys have missed a minor detail in the screenshot.

The speed is 8MB/s not 8mb/s. So if you do maths, 8MB make 66.3mbps and it would take 1min20 sec to transfer 870MB file at this speed. torrent takes around 15-20 seconds to connect to trackers and align peers and seeders. so going by the calculation it would clearly show that the screenshot is not wrong. If you check my original post, i have clearly mentioned the calculation too bcoz, I knew few members might get confused between MB and mb........

so i guess i might have to write another thread about difference between MB and mb to educate these esteemed members. I cannot leave them behind on journey to enlightenment.

To all members who feel, layer2 manipulation is not possible. I want to pointout, any DSLAM or a RADIUS does the same thing in every network but for a different purpose. I cannot explain anything more, as it would be against forums rules and @chromaniac doesn't like people breaking rules here......

the screenshot shows around 400MB remaining. 6 seconds at 8MBps. in 6 seconds, at 8MBps you are going to download just around 50MB.

yeah see as pointed by someone above, the ETA at times is off when your speed fluctuates. It took, around 2min 15sec (total) to download the file. When i started the download the speed was around 85mbps and when i started taking screenshots, the speed fluctuated to 66.3 mbps which is not in my control as peer and DHT list keep fluctuating.

If evidence needed, give me a torrent of your choice and a time slot, when anyone wants to monitor the peer list on realtime, I will download it and post screenshots..... I have nothing to hide, i am doing this .. and i know i can do it anytime whenever needed~!

i will be back on my desk in next 15-20 mins.... as out for lunch. Will post the screenshot with same torrent. Dont worry. If you want to reproduce the same mismatch, just fluctuate the download speed a little bit. for 10-12 secs the calculation will be out of sync. but anyways, i hope my next screenshot will clear your doubt.
