Ok i shall mail them again telling them to recreate my port as regardless of increased line rate i am not getting the 8 Mbps speed. Is that all ?your line seems perfectly fine, if you're in mumbai call up that number x720 mentioned or if you're in delhi write an email to deadsl and tell them you need a port recreate. whats probably happened is that your sync speeds have been set from the DSLAM but those changes have not been made to the RADIUS server or BRAS profile which controls the ISP side bandwidth, so just remind them. or visit the exchange and speak to the GM Broadband / Internet or SDE or Area Manager regarding the same.
how this works is
you (consumer) -> DSLAM ( physical line statistics set like snr, port speed etc ) -> ( RADIUS / BRAS profile ) -> ISP
also is the forum loading slowly for anyone? i don't know why for me its taking 8 seconds to load and is timing out a bit. :?

What should I do. There has been no increase in speed...Im facing the same problem in delhi.requested to change the plan to 1495 combo. Plan has been changed but no increase in speeds.gave a call to customer care but to no avail..the net has even started to lag..
My speed got updated today all thanks to the area manager as all other Mtnl staff was clueless as usual.your line seems to be fine with the exception of interleaving, i hope you don't play games online because its going to add a considerable 25ms of latency to your connection. Its either the DLM at play which is more probable since your line has been re synced. did you notice frequent disconnections like 6-10 per hour or something ?
OR
there are uncorrectable errors on your line meaning you will have to get your line checked and most probably replaced from the junction box outside your house till the modem. If you're in delhi you can contact the GM of the area and the SDE along with these people .. by any chance is your exchange Bikaji Cama place ?

Still stuck at 2mbps speed despite plan changed to 1495 combo since 9 nov..called the area manager. He said problem will be resolved today but it did not..i stay in mayur vihar phase 1..can anybody help??I live in the CP area of New Delhi. I submitted an online request that I be switched over to FREEDOM 1495 COMBO from TriB UL 999 COMBO on 15.11.2015. My request was completed the next day, but I was still getting only 1 Mbps. I filed a complaint by calling 1504 but they weren't able to do anything to help me. So today (17.11.2015) I went to see my MTNL area manager at Janpath, The AM was very helpful. He called some guy in front of me and asked him to recreate my broadband port or something and when I reached home some half an hour later and did a speed test, I was getting 7.6-7.7 Mbps. I then opened the line stats for my modem and it showed a data rate of 8960, which was earlier set at 1152. As for getting my free fixed IP, I emailed a request to [email protected] and was alloted a fixed IP in a few hours.
So if you are having a tough time getting your speed upto 8 Mbps through regular channels, I suggest you go and see your MTNL area manager.
