Trying to setup a box for a relative under Rs. 30,000. Seems hard.

Price
Motherboard
Asus Prime H410M-E5850
Processor
Intel i3 1010012500
PSU
Cooler Master MWE 550w Bronze3700
Cabinet
Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid-Tower Case CC-9011075-WW2900
RAM
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 2666MHz DDR43600
SSD
Kingston A2000 500GB5000
Total33550

Need to find a motherboard model with VGA as his display only has VGA port... 😖
Usage is basic. Would not even run Windows as he has been using Linux for the last 4-5 years and is fine with it somehow. Incredible.

there are a lot of motherboards that should be fine. need to get pricing. would check tomorrow.

MSI H410M PRO
MSI H410M PRO-C
MSI H410M PRO-VH
Asus Prime H410M-CS
Asus Prime H410M-E

Adapter is an option but can be avoided lol.

Also planning to take a lower capacity psu if it saves a thousand or so rupees. Not much saved with a smaller m2 ssd. So not many options to bring the cost down :)

Looks like I cannot get Corsair Carbide Series 100R for this machine. It is around 43cm tall which is essentially the exact height of the area where it is to be placed. So it would either be a tight fit or won't fit at all. Would need to find a smaller cabinet wrt height.

These are the prices I got today. I guess I cannot get under 30K with an i3 lol.

Motherboard
MSI H410M-A PRO5500
Asus Prime H410M-E LGA12005600
Processor
Intel i3 101001270012700
PSU
Cooler Master MWE 450w Bronze30003000
Cabinet
Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid-Tower Case CC-9011075-WW30003000
RAM
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 2666MHz DDR437763776
SSD
Kingston A2000 500GB4950
Kingston A2000 250GB3540

Also pretty hard to find a motherboard with VGA port. Asus one above has it so probably would get it. Otherwise would probably get a converter.

Ordered this.

Motherboard: MSI H410M-A PRO

Processor: Intel i3 10100

PSU: Cooler Master MWE 450w Bronze

Cabinet: Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid-Tower Case CC-9011075-WW

RAM: 1 x Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 2666MHz DDR4

SSD: Kingston A2000 500GB

Would use it with a HDMI to VGA converter.

Got the machine built today. Paid around 35K including a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo. Installed Linux Mint on it and it is ready for delivery lol. Nehru Place guy accidentally delivered MSI H410M PRO-VH which has a VGA port so it sort of turned out fine.

It is kind of crazy how simple (basic) machines are these days with M2 storage and onboard GPU. If only the power ports are not scattered around the motherboard. Wiring could be so tidy otherwise. The 2 MSI motherboards I have dealt with in recent weeks both have messy placement of connectors which means one wire is always dragging around the CPU fan which is not optimal.
