will w8968 work as a router mode only on local cable internet rj45?

i am switching to cable internet from mtnl bcoz of their frequent disconnection and poor cs... i have a tplink w8968 modem router v3.... i just want to know will it work with the local cable internet connection rj45? if yes can anyone pls provide me steps or any link from which i can configure...
