In this bjp now looks to have made a fool of themselves.
What have they achieved by ignoring SS after results were announced.
Earlier SS was reaching out to bjp and they were ignored. SS representatives were snubbed by top bjp leaders in delhi.
Then SS made a rightful decision of taking a oppositions roles.
Now bjp seems to be running like a headless chicken.

Shiv Sena to join Fadnavis govt; gives up claim to home minister, deputy CM post | The Indian Express

Finally, the stage is set for cabinet expansion in Maharashtra on Friday, after Shiv Sena agreed to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Maharashtra.
The BJP has offered Shiv Sena 12 cabinet posts. It includes five cabinet rank and seven minister of state rank. The four important portfolios which have been offered to Sena includes ministry of industry, public works department, energy, water resources.
The Shiv Sena also agreed to give up its claim for home minister and deputy chief minister posts thus paving the way for the saffron partnership to provide a stable government in Maharashtra.

After Sharad Pawar hinitng mid-term elections again in state, it let cat in BJP's pigeon, and BJP hurridly ran to seek alliance with Shiv Sena. But even in that case, BJP was adamant to give important ministry like Home, Power, Finance, Irrigation to Sena. They told Sena to ask any ministry except of these 4 and Deputy CM post. Sena also perhaps more aligned to be in power has accepted the offer.

Losers are now smaller parties which were part of grand NDA alliance before polls. Before elections, these 3 small parties demanded 60-70 seats to contest. After alliance broke, they remained with BJP, and agreed to contest on 12-14 seats, out which they lost all. So now only Sena and BJP are back as alliance. Biggest popat of them is Ramdas Athavale who was dreaming of bigger roles in state or central govt, but now he is just Rajya Sabha MP with really no post.

For BJP Shiv Sena alliance to stay longer, these parties must ask Sanjay Raut, Ramdas Kadam and Eknath Khadse to keep their mouth shut as because of these 3 alliance had hit the rocks.
