Don't believe what you see in the shops. Salesmen in shops obviously 'll keep the so called expensive
tvs to look better by tweaking the pic settings. Few months ago, I & my friend visited the local shop to buy him a led. LED was the only thing in our mind, since it came with the latest tag. We visited next (Videocon priority products shop with other brands also being sold).
The salesman there was trying to push a
samsung 32 inch LED by convincing us. It was whooper expensive for the size because it's latest, it also had the so called clear motion rate or whatever you say (Clear motion rate increase the black level (with the help of LED back lid) of a video, so the pic 'll look more
sharp, that it). Also a
Panasonic plasma 50 inches & A videocon LCD on display side by side along with Samsung LED. All were playing same full hd content, The pic quality looked litter blur in LCD, more worse in Panasonic Plasma.
My friend got convinced to go with LED. But the price difference btw 50 inches plasma n 32 inches LED was just 10k+ He liked the panasonic plasma for the size & price. So he couldn't decide between the two. Sales man was trying to traduce plasma to push LED.
We decided to explore the two in depth. We asked for the remote control of both tvs, explored the picture tweaking options of both tvs, We tried different settings of our liking, After tweaking Believe me the pic quality's stunning in plasma than LED. We spent nearly 8 hrs in the shop and took 50 inch panasonic plasma to home.
And with 3 yrs warranty for the tv, My friend is very happy with his purchase. With the
Tata Sky HD connection, The picture quality looks amazing.
Btw earlier plasma version had the screen burn issues. Later it's been sorted reduced to 0-5%.
