Guys, right now I am having 22” monitor and planning to go for a bigger one (LCD/LED TV) for computer monitor purpose ONLY. I am confused between 32” and 40”-42”. I am not sure how it would be like viewing a 40”-42” monitor for long duration of hours. Please suggest me if 40”-42” is too big for a monitor or not. I am an IT guy and this monitor is for my office works at home.Along with whatever size you suggest, please let me know the best TV you know / you are using for this purpose. I am OK with outdated LCD as well and no need of too many features that required for a TV (purpose) which increases the price considerably. I would like to have 15-pin D-SUB as one of its connectivity. Price is not a concern but better not more than 55K if it is 40”-42”.Please suggest me the best choice…

not a good idea. tvs have crappy resolution. everything would probably be blurry. it is fine for giving presentations or watching movies. but not exactly for coding etc.

Ok. So, what would the biggest monitor size we could get? Do we have a choice anything bigger than 24"?Ok. So, what would the biggest monitor size we could get? Do we have a choice anything bigger than 24"?

I guess you should look for monitor with good/best resolution and worry about size later. 32" LCD come in crappy 1366x768 resolution, as well as, more respectable/workable 1920x1080 resolution.

Dell sells U3011 in India but for around Rs. 95000. I have this model. If you are in or around Delhi I can sell it to you for quarter of the price. It has some issues though. 6 months warranty left.

27 is cream at starting but later it gives neck pain.better is 23 for gaming, editing, coding,Po*n etc

ah you are in bangalore. never mind. Dell u3011 is probably the best monitor available in india officially but as i said it is for around 95000.

Thanks all for your suggestions. It looks I need to stick with my existing 22" or else go for 24"/27". 95K is little too high for me the purpose I am trying achieve here. I just though it would be convenient to sit around 5-6 feet from the monitor/TV and use wireless mouse and keyboard instead of regular computer ergonomics position.
