Latest reports say that they are going to defocus on the Indian smartphone market. But I suppose a few models would still be sold which to be honest does not change much for them or the Indian consumer.
see i was recently looking for a 32" led tv for my mom and did a lot of research (as usual with me), and one thing i came upon was that Samsung now a days in most lower and mid tier models do not even use their own panels and this is popularly know as "Samsung panel lottery", to check that u need to check the version no on the tv. TV Panel Lottery: Samsung vs AU Optronics vs Sharp Panels Compared
i earlier had a Sony 32" but its main PCB got damaged and the lack of spare part availability led me to buy a new tv and after all the research i bought a LG led tv.
yes, and for me its either LG (coz they use their own ips panels) or Sony (for quality picture and build). samsung usually in comparison has low specs when compared to lg and sony at same price.
Of course Sonytv is priced more than samsung. People know that. and at the time of buying, which was about 6 months back, people bought the best model available in samsung 40" that money could buy in full HD. so that should effectively rule out the hotel TV price thingy.
the source of picture in both cases were chromecast streaming youtube 1080p video of cartoon 'max and ruby', which at present is my kids favorite, via JIO connection, so that should even out most of the variables involved.
to rule out operator/fanboy's bias, people's wife also agreed on the same point(which is very rare).
so people knew about a thing or two before commenting/suggesting.
