A fed up Airtel Broadband user...now with Reliance wireline broadband

the ping is high when compared to mine(signature), Not bad overall..



The ping with reliance and airtel broadband will be higher as they are using a ADSL connection hence there is a overhead with that technology hence there is some increase in the ping results.

It seems that monthly charges are fixed...doesn't mind even a month has 28/30/31 days. Is it the same with every other ISP's?

That's why they use the term Month, instead of days. Doesn't matter if it has 28 days or 31, it's a month.

My internet connection went dead from yesterday 10 pm to today 10 am due to maintenance. Now its working well.

P.S. I saw some posters in my nearby area mentioning 300 kbps UL @ Rs.399. I don't know how far it is true.

Must be specific to your area / region coz here in Hyderabad no problems or downtime, BTW did reliance notify you regarding the downtime or it was unscheduled.

It's an unscheduled one....i called up CC & they told me that there was a maintenance in process....chennai guys should confirm the story....

I have an connection in ameerpet,hyderabad. The connection works fine as long it goes and once its down, the net doesn't work For 2-3days the service isn't Good here. I have been asked to stay away from this company in this particular area. I dont know how it is in other areas!

Here in Himaytnagar, Hyderabad it is pretty reliable It hardly goes down, only once I had a downtime for around 3-5 hours. Here the DSL light might go out for for a minute or two every 3-4 days do not know why It happens every couple of days may be they keep doing some stuff in their DSLAM frequenty but I do not have to complaints yet for downtime, actually reliance is one of the oldest pvt ISP provider in our building and the distribution box is in our building may be that is the reason.
