samsung does not have decent budget segment smartphones. good luck with an ace or ace plus whatever. Sony has the best offering in the 12-18K segment from what i know today. samsung has totally messed up their budget phones.
One of my cousin wants to buy an HTC mobile (Andriod compulsory). Her budget is Rs 15,000 (but might increase a bit if a better phone is avaiable with better features).
Can someone please suggest a good one or will Samsung be a better choice?
The reason i am not in favor of samsung is that all samsung mobile handsets looks the same no matter if its inexpensive or expensive.
Your suggestions will be appreciated.
Must have features:
1. Camera 5mp or above
2. Andriod OS
3. WIFI and 3G connections.
4. Touchscreen
5. FM Radio
6. Social Networking Services
Thanks
If Blackberry-style is ok , there is also Chacha to think about ... Not my uncle, but the phone HTC Chacha
chacha? wildfire s? man. these are crappy phones for purchasing today. seriously. get the Sony xperia model. excellent value for money in this segment. xperia ray is probably the best purchase in the segment around 18K rupees.
Agree with Wildfire S... But Chacha is still an ok-ish model.. Considering its well within the budget at 12k at Flipkart... But as I said, it may be preferred only by a select few because of the Blackberry-style.. More so, suggesting this, since a successor does not seem to be visible in the horizon for this style.

And I agree at this point, Sony's midrange leads the way, and would be in my primary suggestion. However, I am just pointing out an option based on the requirements given.
@Shouvik I bought Sony Ericcson Live with Walkman yesterday. Its really an awesome phone. The touch is very responsive. Everything is great. 5MP cam with HD recording, 3D recording, well built. It bought it for 14.5K from Delhi. I suggest you to go for it.P.S - Althought its box says that the phone is Android 4.0 upgradable, in the software update it still says that there is no upgrade available(Android 2.3.4). Can anyone please help?
