some apps that require newer android api might not work as desired. but i assume note 4 comes with a recent enough android to ensure that it would not be a problem.
nah, it comes with 6.0 I think with 7.0 nougat in testing. But even Redmi phones which come with miui have lollipop or marshmellow which I think support all apps
However, the beta version of Android 7.0 based MIUI 8 is also available if you are so interested. A huge number of 7.1 based custom roms are also available.
