well the problem with DD News is that you are unlikely to find them broadcasting news that shows the current government in bad news.

aaj tak pretty much sponsors the award events which name them the number one news channel in the indian market.
 
all news channels in india are pathetic. NDTV used to be all fine but today? i do not find it any better than the others.

why....
and yes in English non-business news space i would say CNN-IBN and Times now are equally good.

When they started? I thought they were No. 1 before that.

They were really good at start....now... i pity their anchors too. Now it is a utter bullshit.

I don't have any personal animosity against them .. I have animosity against all of the news channels .. They r BS to be honest ..
But specially this NDTV .. One of the worst news channel .. All the time pakistani news or news item which literally r kissing the feets of congress govt or its chamchas ..
I am really stunned to see ppl having difficulty figuring out this so obvious thing ...
Even if u goto their website ndtv.com right now .. u will see 5 news related to pak and I don't think even one of them is worth mentioning ...

Is it joke or wht? I really can't see how anyone can like this channel .. Fraud anchors, who despite being named and proved in 2G scam keep coming shamelessly on hosting shows .. How many of the channels have shown tht Radia Barkha tapes?? None .. They all r involved in this mess ..

This channel is absolutely ridiculous .. All the news channels r pathetic no doubt .. But NDTV is worst of them ..

CNN-IBN is giving tough competition to NDTV in doing chamchagiri of Congress. It is no surprise that people like A. Raja, Kalmadi, Kanimozi, Maran, Chindambaram and all the Maharashtra Congress politicians accused in Adarsh society scam talk to CNN-IBN exclusively all the time.

In Hindi channels, Aaj Tak has really gone to dogs. It used to be best Hindi news channel till they decided to compete with 'India TV'.
 
These channels show what most of the people in India would like to see.People are addicted to astrology like crap, and they won't miss a single show regarding the effect on lunar eclipse on one's life.In the current scenario only the English news channels are worth watching.

well up to some extent i agree but the non english news audience has also come of age and matured a lot. Most dont like the shit crap which they broadcast.

But the real problem is really the cut throat competition and relatively low Trp's of news channels.
The number of hindi news channels has really exploded and news is just not enough to catch eyeballs.
 
When I was in England for few years, I was surprised by the neutral reporting by all the news channels. They never took anyone's side. Just plain news. No twisted angle to it. No useless suspicions. I was shocked by some of the stories they ran about Indira Gandhi and likes. They showed what would otherwise be banned in India.News channels here on the other hand. ... ......

Sardesais .. don't even wanna start on them .. They r giving full competition to NDTV in chamchagiri .. I don't know how many anyone call them anchors .. They should be named member of PR team for congress ..Ofcourse barkha bahaar will be the team head :D

A very good article on how media-political link news was just on internet .. and none of the channel had the guts to show the reality .. 2G scam sideshow: Netizens lambast high-profile journalists - The Times of India .. and still no one has shown full amar singh tapes even after getting SC clearance ... Just cos he is now close to Madam ji .. :D

And our dear hindi news channels .. They should be shown under Entertainment Genre along with Star plus, Sony etc ;)
