A pretty average movie like padikkathavan beating a mass hero like vijay means it shows that there is a techtonic shift from hero centric stories to production house centric stoies....Ayngaran made a terrible mistake by signing an exclusive deal with kalaignar tv which prompted sun to enter into production and its pretty clear that Ayngaran would have disappeared with this kind of marketing strategy in Endhiran....
Also its clear that kandaswamy would be marketed in the same way and no doubt about kandaswamy creating new record but only thing its releasing during IPL
