Accessing Internet Via Mobile.

it's not a request but a way.did u read shantam's post.after dialing 172222 he was getting a whistle sound .dat is d sound of d remote modem .now what we need is another modem connected to our machine to decode d data send by dat modem.bsnl sim is optimized for dial up and dis is not edge or gprs.u don't have 2 open an account here and it's much cheaper or 2 b clear d cheapest internet service of india.u cannot access dis facility on mobil.u have 2 have a desktop .d mobil must have an inbuilt modem.

Why go to such lengths to access internet, unless you are into some R&D.:ashamed:

Dial up gives a max of 56kbps......whereas on GPRS+EDGE, i have got
around 120-158 kbps.....both in Bangalore and Kolkatta.

well dude everyone is not as rich as u.i beleive activating gprs is not free.u need 2 pay inorder 2 activate it.172222 is free and as far as my knowledge goes it's d cheapest internet facility in INDIA so far.

Not sure who gave you this idea of dialling 172222 to access internet from a amobile. DOnt think it is possible, anyway... Consider this... Unlimited Internet access through GPRS/EDGE at 170kbps costs much less Internet access via Landline @ 56kbps. For BSNL, its 199/- month.
