Hi,
An ACT representative called me up a few days ago, and outlined a few plans (they were just entering our area). Per that rep, if I wanted a public static ip, I would need to get a connection in the name of a company. Today a different rep called, and said, if I was using only 3-4 systems, they could give me a static public IP (for Rs. 2500/year) on a regular retail plan. According to him, the ip would be of range 101.x.x.x. Does anybody know the public ip ranges for ACT and if this is actually possible? Thanks
FWIW, I already have Airtel VDSL at 40Mbps which I am reasonably happy with. So, unless I get a public static ip, I don't have much of an incentive to switch - as Airtel so far has worked even in the face of bad weather (unlike ACT whose cables get cut)
