Looking for ADSL to wfi router for MTNL broadband. Please suggest which brand/model can keep internet connection always connected or automatically immediatelly reconnects after disconnection?
Good question!
Look at this link http://blog.sabaitechnology.com/dd-wrt-keep-alive/
You can purchase any Wireless Router that is DD-WRT compatible and use this feature to reconnect.
I know Belkin ShareMax N300, Asus RT-N12 & Linksys WRT160N are some that support DD-WRT as I use them myself, but they are like a few years old.
Recently I got Linksys E1200 for my brother, which is also DD-WRT capable.
Thanks for the info.
While reading router reviews I saw ppl complaining about frequent disconnections. After reading those I made my post here. But then I called my friend who's on Airtel ADSL and he told that his router always stays connected. Then I bought a router and started using MTNL ADSL. Facing no disconnection problem. Later I found out that MTNL advertises its broadband as "always on". During the initial days it used to get disconnected but the problem got solved after installing splitter and MTNL technician clearing noise from line.
