both are very fast at installation. the only problem that i faced was with jio not providing connection from box which was 100 meters away, though when i complaint to nodal officers then only i got the resolution and connection was installed within 24 hours.

when jio engineers came, they did not do any splicing of fiber, it was all plug and play in which they had clear lead over airtel.
airtel takes their sweet time with splicing of fiber usually its 1 to 2 hours

both are fine to me as per my experience. both took complaints seriously

airtel use to deliver faster and more speeds but things have changed in my case. jio is delivering snappy and faster experience may be due to low gateway ping.

both airtel and jio provide speeds greater than plan speed at least for me.

latency is much better in jio than in airtel at least for me.
on airtel gateway ping is 3-4 ms but on jio its 1 ms or even less sometimes.
on jio cloudflare dns ping is 2-3 ms but on airtel its 8-10 ms which makes a lot of difference.

bufferbloat on airtel was B but on jio its A+

it was all plug and play in which they had clear lead over airtel.

That's because Jio uses mechanical joint instead of properly splicing (fusion) the fiber.
Splicing is better in long term, harder to break and less optical loss.

Yes i agree @albonycal but I did asked jio field engineer to let me know the power and it was -19.5 and as far as i know this power is excellent.

Airtel with splicing provide me similar power of -19

@albonycal Here they used a small splicing machine to do it. It was much smaller compared to what RailWire guys had when they were doing installation here.
