They keep saying "Urban Youth(students in particular) will be the first movers to 3G". B@lls to their strategy. I'm yet to see a friend of mine(student) who keeps more than Rs.100(usually its around Rs.30 as acc balance)...So they are expecting such people to spend money on 3G?? And urban youth is more intelligent than casual public..they understand what MB,GB,Kbps means and are never going to spend 800bucks for 1gb Even though Airtel and even Vodafone's(estimated) 3G tariffs are VERY expensive, Operators like Aircel and Reliance will the biggest loosers as they have very low ARPU customers who mostly use SMS and SOMETIMES Voice! But Airtel and Vodafone have all the premium customers in their pockets so they can find some customers for their 3G.I don't understand what Aircel is thinking about itself with such pricing :!And why is that nobody is trying to offer plans like 256/512kbps 2GB @ Rs.200 kinda plans??? Why the hell are all the operators running behind 3.6/7.2/21.1 mbps like some megabit dog bit them
Seems the plans are same for postpaid and prepaid. Most of the plans are bundled with video calls, voice calls and sms packs.Wud hv preferred cheaper data only plans may be with lower speed
