@shr, thank you. My issue actually is with the very first point you mentioned - I am unable to get a PPPoE connection with my Airport Extreme. That's why I am temporarily using the DHCP workaround.

Cheers

is pppoe not working or not enabled. You can export your config file and send me the same?

PPPoE is enabled. However, like I said, last night I changed it from PPPoE to DHCP because I was not getting a PPPoE connection. so, the config file I am sending you here now may not reflect PPPoE.

Also, please let me know how I attach a file here - I am unable to attach anything from my local storage.

Cheers

You may hv to store in a personal storage like Dropbox or OneDrive and share them. @chromaniac. any suggestions?

Before you send the config file, pls revert to the PPPoE setup, complete your DHCP setup and try it once. If it fails, you can try to send the config file to me.

I reviewed your config & suggest the following changes -

Assign a static ip address to your router to be in the same ip range as your DHCP clients. Router is having an ip of 0.0.0.1 and your LAN clients are in 10.*. This could be the reason for DHCP failure.

Steps:
Click Internet -> Internet Connection -> Connect Using = Ethernet.
Go to TCP/Ip - > Configure IPv4 = Manually; IP Address = 192.168.1.1
Go to DHCP -> Beginning Address = 192.168.1.2; DHCP Lease = 24 Hours
Go back to Internet Tab, Connect Using = PPPoE; Enter Account name and Password for PPPOE; Connection = Automatic; Disconnect if Idle = Never.

Please note: 10.0 LAN ip is normally used for enterprise. I have changed that to the 192.168.1.* used for home networks. You can change it to 10.0 if you like it.

It should work now. Let me know if you face any issues.

@shr, my apologies for not responding sooner - I was out of town and just got back an hour ago.

The setting you mention are to be done from my laptop under "Network Preferences", correct? The reason I ask is, Airport Utility does not give me the "Connect Using..." to "TCP/IP" etc.

And, if I did this config on my laptop Network Preferences, how would it replicate across my other devices on the network (iMac, 2 iPhones and an iPad)?

Cheers
