Airtel 3G Launched in Chennai and Coimbatore

so does the 3g hack works in airtel too!!!
anyway i get avg speed of 2mbps and max speed of 4mbps but it disconnects often jus forget abt downloading from direct downloads!!!

speedtest displays dl speed of jus 0.68mbps even though actual speed was 4mbps+
 
I've never had disconnections and am able to download very large files from link-removed etc, on the phone itself. The morons haven't enabled 3G for voice calls, so it disconnects every time you receive an SMS or call. They're supposed to use 3G for everything so you don't get disconnected!!!I think you get accelerated speeds for stuff that's in their locally hosted CDN. Some 720p YouTube videos buffer in seconds. That's not necessarily a good thing...
 
airtel downloads stops frequently , it doesnt disconnects but jus dl stops frequently need to disconnect and connect it once again!!!really irritating!!!but when used in mobile its grt streams high quality video perfect without buffering!!!
 
i agree with donthave, mobiles are definatly not a replacement for wireless 3G data cards. its just a suppliment to provide small time internet connectivity for small office use like browsing lotus notes or checking mails and doing some download stuff on handheld. continuous use of heavy downloads will spoil battery life and would put much strain on phone CPU. i have personally experienced this when i had N900. i had almost harrased N900 over BSNL 3G 1499 Plan. continously downloading movies over torrents for almost 24 hr a day one after the another. one day my phone just restarted and whole display was scrambled.. finally gave it to Nokia and it took 20 days for them to repair, but no use as it was still giving jerks while using and finally i planned to sell it off and bought new N8 and HTC HD7, also to smartness baught new TATA DOCOMO 7.2 MBPS e-stick

the reason why phone CPU gets spoiled is that mother board has to work on same clock cycle as of the laptop or the computer and continoues shots of feedback gives CPU a serious run for performance. its like computer running at speed of 100 km/r and dragging phone cpu for the same. you very well check internet speed with data card and internet through mobile. both will give almost different speed at same place. Phone speed will 40% lesser than the Data card speed.
 
:cry:no gopi, it is not unlocked. i went to website and checked some site by Name DC unlocker for unlocking the usb device, but it was paid .
 
well here in Mysore i activated 3G , the service is activated in just a minute. i opted for their crap 9rs 10mb plan just for curiosity. the speed hovers between 1mbps to 1.5mbps.

yes 3g signal available in mysore, but speeds hovers between 1-2mbps. but i discontinued the service.
