Spec sheet doesn't mention TD-LTE2300, and Ericsson hasn't started rollout of LTE1800 to the best of my knowledge.

Well maybe they did in gurgaon, its airtel headquarters remember. While doing press releases they need to show proof I think.

Indeed. A possibility. Strangely I can't even search for LTE networks on an Xperia Z3 which supports both bands. Same error as @chromaniac Maybe, the SIM card has something to do with it?

Updated to 4g sim and its showing signal finally, that means 1800fdd is also working but currently very low signal.

Yup, signals are mostly crap. Speeds aren't upto the mark too.

Seems to be backlink upgrade to fiber is yet not complete.

Airtel's 4G is worst in Nagpur... Checked in open space with Lenovo A7000...
