Used about ~150GB, no issues. Throughout it stayed on 5G SA (n78 -85 dBm.) Even with good network range, the speeds (directly over phone or hotspot) were poor.

One thing I'd like to test (but I cannot) would be testing with prepaid. My assumption is that over a hotspot it will provide 5G connectivity and speeds, but it will register as '4G' data. Since postpaid 4G+5G have combined data usage, there is nothing to compare with.

Damage control by Airtel

Thankfully these chors can't control YT and other fast social media narratives. Already tons of shorts on airtel hotspot sht for casual scroller people and for tech users yt proper videos.

Indian telecom operators have gone shit ,,especially Airtel ,
Whenever there is some cheap plan , they close it .
Whenever there is some thing people use more , they block it .
Airtel is the most cheater telecom operator .

Agreed! I sometimes think that when they will finally pull the plug on this UL 5G offer then what will happen especially with Jio. Airtel no doubt will also get hammered if they somehow silently reduce the 300 GB cap further, coz lets just be honest even today many internet users are there who are still happy with the range of 10 Mbps - 60 Mbps even at this time, like hats off to these consumers they really single handedly boost the morale of the already profit hungry telco industry! since reduce speed / restrict sharing -> can't reach GBs of data -> great so lower the data caps further lol Equality achieved , saved towers from choking. They don't want to invest into better capacity building but will come forward to blame customers.
