After airtel 5g was launched 5g was available at limited places in my area. Also speeds were 80-150Mbps. Fast forward today, I am getting airtel 5g signal indoors and speeds are like 300-400Mbps. Also while travelling getting good 5g signals. But never got speeds beyond 500Mbps. In terms of coverage yes they have improved atleast in my area. No issues with calls though.

Exactly. Even 50mbps is enough if latency is less than 15ms
yeah if 1080p videos or even 4k videos can run fine while stable latency in gaming then everything is fine
Along with 4g, 5g is also congested in my college campus with speeds during 7pm also the peak usage time is 12mbps on 5g.

So a question for every 5g user, not related to the performance parameters of the network per se, but of the company.
1) How long after the press release made by the company (Airtel/Jio) were you able to latch onto the network in case of Airtel and get the welcome offer in case of Jio?
2) How long before it was usable (if there was a significant time gap between latching onto 5g and it being usable)?

Jio: been 2 months and still not got welcome offer
Airtel: been 1 week and able to latch to 5g but speed is of 4g as of now (20-30mbps)
