Airtel 8 Mbps broadband services

is this true ? 8 Mbps broadband services are available in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, and the NCR ?is it something new or the same old 2007 news ?

not for domestic use, might be available for only business connections.

Just checked, Max speed available for Hyderabad is 2mbps (4mbps impatient plan mentioned in website not available, just called to customer care too )
Max speed available for Punjab,HRY,Rajasthan,UP(E),UP(W) and Kolkata region is 2mbps.

So in reality speed above 4mbps might be avilable only in NCR

We had those 8 & 16 Mbps plans a few years ago even in Hyd........... coz I had opted for the 8 Mbps plan for a few month but later on they removed the 8 & 16 Mbps plans may be not many subscribers opted for the same.

8 Mbps plans have been around for quite some time. I even got a call for the same. I asked them to FO.

I was told by CC yesterday that no plan above 4 mbps is available in Delhi.
