Airtel announce two new plans of Rs. 145 and Rs. 345

Hi all!

Today I got a call from Airtel Representative 044-40629333 telling me that they have got new plans for Airtel Postpaid.

Monthly Rental: Rs.399 + Applicable Taxes
Calls: 1000 Mins Free
Data: 1GB 3G/4G + Unlimited 2G

I am in Chennai Circle. I asked them whether these plans are new, and they told me that this would be exclusive plans and would not be available in Airtel Stores. Anyone else got similar calls?
 
Yeh like me i got 149rs plan plus tax

500mins local + std
Unlimited 2g and
200sms
And cug to cug unlimited free

These are special plans and myself is using it and its activated already
 
Bharti Airtel slashes prepaid tariffs to compete with Jio

For 345 rupees ($5.12), Bharti Airtel will allow users to make unlimited calls to any network and consume 1 GB 4G data for 28 days, the carrier said in a statement. Under a separate plan of 145 rupees, users will get 300 MB of 4G data and unlimited calls within Airtel network for 28 days, it said.

lol. sadly there is no unlimited call only plan. would have been perfect for dad. he does not need any data on his feature phone. i wonder what is the best option for him... any recommendations? he is currently on a Rs. 249 plan on vodafone that provide 600 (or 800 not sure) minutes of calls.
 
Data is to be used on 4G network only for 2G/3G network just 50MB so 345 would suit best unless everyone on Airtel network.
One more thing it's not clear if calls to landlines are included or not.
 
345?? when other networks like Jio (free currently) and BSNL provide same plans at 149Rs?
 
Yes landline calls are included in 349 plan

@igloo 299 plan is available only to random users under best offer....but this one is available to all prepaid users
