I've heard it from elsewhere too. Is there anyone who got airtel connection through LCO with such conditions. And it's not the LCO asking for this money, but airtel. Payment will be done online directly to Airtel. ₹1000 installation extra that will go to LCO in cash. No refundable security for ONT/Router. It is also giving double data for these 6 months and 7.5% discount. It sounds like a decent deal to me still. Should I go for it?

the airtel guy told me this, not the LCO. also, it is written on airtel website. what you're saying applies to areas where airtel directly gives connections without LCOs
1k for 100m applies to every new city. It's more like lco comission. It's legal.

@PawanKumar how much they're asking for 6 months? Also is it unlimited data 3.3TB or simple double data of their normal 100mbps plans data?
The wiring is done by LCO and they take charges it applies to new cities as per listed in Airtel Website while applying....
they're asking for ₹6543 for 200mbps (₹999/mo plan). the double data is standard plan data ×2 (300+300GB in case of 200mbps plan). for 3333GB/mo, ₹299 is charged extra per month.
the amount is for 6 months subscription of standard plans, after that monthly billing will start. 7.5% discount and double data for first 6 months. ₹1000 extra for LCO in cash. this scheme of for Rohtak, Sonipat and Yamunanagar in Haryana. for other cities like Panipat, Karnal, Ambala, Panchkula etc, there is no LCO and installation is completely free with 3 months advance rental.
the airtel guy sits here in Rohtak and they have 6 LCOs for different areas even for a small city like ours

Ask in written quotation with letter head of LCO Name or Company Name... or something legit..
