I got a static IP and have got it on bridge mode on port 4. I was given all details regarding DNS, gateway and IP. IP is xxx.xxx.131.xxx while gateway is xxx.xxx.133.1

How do I set this up on opnsense? I have 0 idea on what to do, tried lots of things and I'm only more confused now. What I've done so far:

1. Changed root passwords
2. Went to system>config>wizard then entered DNS servers I was given. DNS(unbound) has resolver enabled.
3. In the same wizard entered wan networktype as static, mac as my router mac (I don't think its needed but I'll still do ig),
IP/21(xxx.xxx.131.xxx/21) and gateway(xxx.xxx.133.1), under default policies, block rfc1918 private networks and block bogon networks enabled by default
4. On next page(LAN), all default, configure DHCP server enabled.
5. Saved and applied

6. Interfaces>devices>vlan added a vlan with parent as the wan interface, vlan tag as 100 and priority as 0 out of 0-7(not sure what to put so set as default)

7. Setup DHCP by disabling isc and using dnsmasq.

What else do I need to do?

Please guide me or point me what should I do exactly from the start as I'm completely confused.

When I entered the details I got into my PC and connected to bridge port directly it was working fine. Only problem is how to set it up on opnsense.

Try removing VLAN 100 as Airtel tags it on the bridged port itself, more often than not, so the downstream router doesn't need any VLAN tagging.
But if you needed to change the VLAN in your Ethernet adapter of your PC for successfully making internet work, then ignore my advice lol

@tr1k0N4 I only thought of using the vlan tag since I read that it was needed to make the internet work. I didn't need to do it for my PC so ig I won't need to for opnsense aswell then, thanks so much for pointing that.

Also what's the pppoe username now?

Ah thanks, I need to try using pppoe as right now I still haven't figured how do I set using static IP settings yet. So gonna try that tomorrow

I got the joke but I didn't see my account number anywhere though.

Is this my account number? (Found on airtel business thanks app)
