Airtel Broadband 16 mbps plan SUCKS

i live in gurgaon and the airtel people say that the dsl line that we have in our area can only support a bandwidth of atmost 2Mbps.. so 16Mbps cant work in here.. i even tried using 16Mbps plan but the download speed never exceeded 280Kbps mark.. so is anything possible? is there another line for the 16Mbps support..??

another line? did you even listed to what airtel said? the LINE TO YOUR PLACE is not of good enough quality. so until they wire the entire region again which is unlikely to happen in the near future... you cannot get faster speeds.

My dad has had his connection for like 6 months. A few days ago the airtel line got cut because of demolition of a house down the road. They came fixed it, upgraded the line and ever since the 16MBPS line has been working at 17-18MBPS. It is amazing. I am loving it. This plan officially doesn't suck anymore.

Moral of the story: make sure the cable connecting your house gets cut, to get better speeds

airtel tends to get slightly faster speeds. so 17mbps on a 16mbps plan is not that big of a deal. it is like a 6% increase eventually. and 50GB data transfer limits still?

Yeah. 2999 for 50GB and 4999 for 100GB.
