just checked the airtel website. they are charging 50 paisa for every MB. that means 1 rupee for 2 MB. that means at 16mbps, you are literally paying 1 rupee per second of usage after you cross the 20GB or 50GB limits.

Let's do the math. :P1 rupee per second = 60 rupees per minute = 60 rupees * 60 minutes = 3600 rupees per hour. :ashamed:  :rofl:So, if you happen to cross your limit (say, by mistake), you'll have to pay 3600 rupees (~USD $75) per hour. Ehh, isn't this the costliest broadband plan on this damn planet?

I wonder how many idiots airtel will suck in with this terrible plan.I mean, if they have bandwidth to spare why not double the speeds of the existing plans?

doubling speeds is not going to help any customer with limits on unlimited plans. AIRTEL SUCKS.

3G changes nothing in india. plans are still charged per MB instead of GB.

BSNL 3G is charging RS. 3001 per month in prepaid for unlimited data usage. If (and that is a big if) service is reliable and of decent quality then it is a good alternative for some who are willing to pay an arm and a leg for unlimited broadband.
