HI i got 100rs double speed offer n my speed was 1mbps till 19th march(512 to 1mbps).But frm today morning im getting only 512kbps.I never exceeded my 100gb limit

solved some other customer sent an email for deactivation of double speed top up but used my phone no by mistake

Airtel has used this method in the past also.

When they lowered the price of 256 UL from Rs 799 to Rs 649 in 2008, the price reduction was not done for everyone in one go. Those who didn't ask for a lower tariff of Rs 649 still continue to pay Rs 799.

Cost of 256 kbps UL is Rs 649 now and a 512kbps UL for Rs 749 (i.e. 649+100) is a much better deal.

How can one avail this 649 -256kbps unlmtd plan ? Now I am on 799 - 256kbps unlmtd.......... please give suggestions......................... :-)

@indianshree.. the 256kbps UL plan comes in two flavours.. unfortunaterly both are plain vanilla but cost different based on where you are. If you are in Delhi/other competitive area u get it for 699/- If you are unlucky like me and in NCR or similar region, u get it for 799/- Same plan , differential pricing.. customer cheating. thats aritel for you.

mtnl is much cheaper now, but thing is i wanna keep using airtel but if airtel is not in mood to flip there enormously high tariff there is gonna be high shift to mtnl broadband. Airtel's 1mbs plan still costs Rs700 more ++ taxes. btw can anyone can tell me procedure to get 1mbs on airtel swift 1099, I went threw forum but someone could tell again. I contacted cc they r saying its for 256kbs cust. only lol

mmm from what i see airtel is now offering 2mbps for around 1700 bucks? (when they upgrade 1mbps users to 2mbps). i do not remember the costing of 512kbps connections but it would be around 1000 bucks. so those plans would now become 1mbps. right?

I wonder if the Turbo 1299 will have 2mbps at night after the speed doubling. If they do allow 2mbps at night it would be a nice plan at Rs 1299+tax.....1mbps at day time for normal use and 2mbps at night for downloading large files.
