upgrading to VDSL would be a head ache for them and that would last more 3-4years. I assume they have intercity fiber network, they should build last mile fiber network to provide FTTH.

Whats the max speed that can handle?
Nice Day Dreaming, Let them introduce 1mbps unlimited at least at the price of 12mbps Reliance plan. Airtel Folks are dying hard to offer 512mbps post fup.
Well the problem with reliance is there downtime.Airtel doesnt have much downtime.But in terms of speed and FUP they suck.But their Uptime is really good.

ADSL 2+ can handle a max of 25 mbps down link and 1.4 mbps uplink. Its the upload speed that sucks.
Theoretically yes! I have never seen it to be above 12mbps. In India never above 7mbps on ADSL. My uncle has this BSNL 16mbps broadband he gets up to 8mbps max. Tried sorting with BSNL exchange people. They said its the best he can get stays 800mts away from exchange.

Bsnl up time is excellent here. Depends on your location. Bsnl is generally good in areas where they have serious competition. Ask around.

CC. Take, for example, I'd been facing time outs and poor pings since yesterday afternoon, lodged a complaint today at 12 30, got a call within 2 hours telling me that a switch had developed some issues and had to be replaced, and well, the connection is fine now. I'd call that pretty good response time. Again, cc may vary depending location. There are enough horror stories to go by, hence I said ask around your neighbourhood.
