iam still not free from the problem. when i try to dwnld 2 files in mutorrent sometimes they work well(i hav changed the settings in speed guide to max 2 active dwnlds but default is max 1) but many times the dwnld speed gradually decreases n it hovers arond 4-5Kbps instead of around 28 as im left with zero seeds but uploading remains as there ii be few peers left. wat might be the problem?i tried peerguardian but to no avail.please help me:confused:

hi ajitjanagond, nice to hear from a fellow member. Actually i dont use Torrent. i'm using link-removed OR link-removed OR OTHER SERVERS.
The Torrent that u'r using is it a healthy one, it depends again.
btjunkie - the largest bittorrent search engine is a site where u can get a lot of movie torrent at the same time u can also get to see the health of the torrent which is on the right hand side. I'm sorry i dont know much about Torrent files.

hi ananthkumarydv, thanks for the reply.i actually download from healthy seeds only. i always look into tho no. of seed n peer availability in link-removed n link-removed before downloading n usually go for torrents with higher seeds n peers but the problem still persists. it doesnt happen with all torrents.may be it is because i use public trackers or problem is with airtel

Replaced 220BX1 ADSL2 Modem with 110BX1 ADSL2+Router. Airtel says that the modem 220BX1 cant handle higher volume of data stream that arrives. That could be the reason for the DATA and LINK to SNAP over and Restart.Hope that the new 110BX1 works fine for me. Ill keep it posted as the changes happens.

 I have just taken a new airtel connection and have the same problem using utorrent. I tried all of the steps mentioned.

1. I got the airtel CC to replace the modem from 220BX1 ADSL2 Modem with 110BX1 ADSL2+Router.
2. Disabled the TR-069 client.

3. In DSL unchecked adsl2 adsl2+ and keeping GDMT.

4. Checked the SNR and attenuation settings.

5. Please find the log attached -

Still, I get disconnected after almost every 2 hrs. The CC folks have given up and are asking me to format my C drive now.

Can somebody please help before I take this extreme step?

1.Are you using a scheduler for torrent downloads ?2. Presume you are using a Dialup Wanminiport "bridged mode.3. Tried Port forwarding ? portforward.com see for 220Bx

Hi Essbebe, Thanks for the reply. I have no scheduler for utorrent. I am not sure what yo mean by dialip wan miniport(let me google it up) and I have done portforwarding now. Keeping my fingers crossed...

ALL Mean: DIalUp/Bridged/WanminiportYou don't get connected to Internet , as soon as you switch on the system. You have to enter your UserId /Password and use a dialer program.2. "Always On " PPPoE means the above info already stored in modem, and you get connected to Internet, without any action on your part. 3. Usually for torrents etc users, ( and for Free NU) use automatic schedulers to start modem at about 0205 and switch off at 0755. etc.
