will take up the matter with airtel cc once i return to gurgaon. The speedtest bfore this one showeddnL -- 75kbps :rofl:upL -- 3kbps :wall:wondering if something is wrong with the mumbai server in speedtest.net

Why not try OpenDNS ?
Also avoid testing at Mumbai. or compare with a distant foreign server.

Update : 1255PM Airtel 256Kbps plan modem Beetel 220BX1 OPenDNS FIREFOX 3.0 XPSP2

have tried openDNS, not noticed much of a difference, will test once i get back. Rite now am in mumbai with MTNL tri ... getting some kewl speeds!

EDIT

wow essbebe you seem to get almost 1:1 dnL/upL ratio !
speedtest result using an MTNL connection [ DSL 399 i think ]

seems like in south india download/upload ratio is 1:1. any users from western india please post your speed tests ! seems like a north only problem :)

uploads at my end seems to be fine...
can you post your results?

also today i sent the letter to trai

next week consumer court here i come!
i hope this is a gitch.I love airtel for their superior service but this issue has made a dent to airtels image.

@/members/s-ricky/1.Go to speedguide.net and see what recommendation/s they give. 2. Post ADSL stats page. . or select GDMT and see any difference. If now in GDMT try adsl2 or adsl2+3. Or do a System Restore to the day you had proper U/L and D/L speeds.
