No i am still getting only 8.9 mbps

I was getting 8.5MBPS before on 8mbps speed.

Hmm. Is the downstream rate constant or fluctuating?

Perhaps, the speed profile in the RADIUS needs to be changed. That's how its done on mtnl. Should be the same for airtel.

Its avging around 1mbps on download.

Tariff plan has been changed, but I'm getting only 5 Mbps as the geniuses at airtel forgot to change the line profile.

Upload speed sucks.
