Hi,
ALL OF YOU ARE WRONG....
If you want to access modem interface through the
Netgear router. ONLY ONE solution is there:-
Level-2 Network Engineer
Time to demote you to Level -1
Friend, it is not a must that he should use 192.168.1.1 and 2.1
[*]He can use any IP in that subnet ! IP should be different !
[*]You can bridge the modem and give username and password in router also (still it will work)
[*]Issue was a conflict, both having same IP, if you change to different IP's without conflict, it should work !
[*]One of the above replied person has set it for his computer and made it working. So he saying from his own modem/router
[*]Others who replied also helped many with these kind of setup as this is not a big problem for those who knows basic knowledge of Network !
[*]Only issue is communicating without having all details, that is why the delay in rectifying the problem !
[*]You might have said in a simple way than others ! (you never mentioned what it for, others have mentioned why it happened)
So, If you read others suggestions, you will actually see they said the same thing as you said ! (to keep both IP different and without conflict)
Cheers !
