Government regulates makes it mandatory for them to offer free paper bills.
Government needs to do the same with historic bank statements. Most private banks charge like Rs. 100 per page of older statements.
I guess it might lead for abuse. I think better to have once in a year free or something to that affect. Also, most banks (I think) do give the online version free. HDFC, for one, was not having that option. But off late, I noticed even they have given the option of downloading historical statements.

I think banks should, if its already not a mandate, the govt/RBI should make it compulsory.

yup. standard chartered makes statements available for only last 90 days using the regular statements section.
downloadable statements are available for the last 12 months. so every month, a new pdf is added and the oldest pdf is removed!
it is so insane really. i have complained so many times and i get a bullcrap response. our system is not capable of showing archived statements!

they are starting this shit again.

i sent the sms as indicated in this message. but it got rejected because ebill is not yet activated on my account.

i would shut down my airtel connection if this shit continues.

Forget EBILL issues.. Are you guys not experiencing some thing else with Airtel broadband these days. Self care not showing data usage or data balance for last couple of days. I am completely blind since 4-5 days on my data balance. Speeds getting reduced or no data and Modem needs to restart every 2 days or a day itself to regain the speed

Same issues with me. I am on monthly 60Gb - 599 plan (8 Mbps) with a 500Gb Bigbytes
offer added on 5th Dec 2017.

My usage so far has been 27Gb out of the 60Gb with the Big Byte not kicked in.

Since yesterday night it says I have used 500 Gb in one day!! and only 60 Gb is balance.

I called up airtel customer care with the usage report and they claim this issue is across all
customers apparently due to some technical issues and would get sorted in 72 hours!!!
If not resolved I am to call back again!!

Waiting for JIO fiber to show up in my apartment complex ...
