They are testing VDSL in my place. Hope it gets implemented soon. They're not giving out VDSL router for new customer, might do so once it is ready.

The Airtel guys told they would give a new connection within 3 days. It has been 10 days since I paid and they still haven't come for installation. Every time I call them, they say it will come tomo and give me some other number to call. I only chose Airtel because it has a decent customer care service but I am regretting it already.

I would be glad if they just pay my money back. Always transferring me from one number to another number without any proper reply.

If they want to collect money, they will come in 1 hour.
If they have to do work, I have to call almost 10 different people and still they have not yet come for more than 10 days.

Useless fellows

I'm guessing the delay is in bringing the line to your building. They need permissions to dig up the earth and the councilors need to be bribed.

The same delay occurred to me initially but that was in 2005.

Once you get the connection, the service would be good.

Airtel finally responded. I have got my internet connection.

1099Rs excluding taxes
75GB
8mbps

My initial thoughts:
The speed is way faster than my previous BSNL connection. I am getting around 8 Mbps. A file around 700MB can be downloaded in less than 10 minutes with this speed. The free wifi modem has more range than my TP-Link modem.

Such Plans have not yet been announced in Mumbai , I upgraded my Plan to 1499 monthly Free local and STD calss with 2MBPS speed and 20GB free, So you see I have no such knowledge of this plan , Do confirm and let us know again

In Chennai, Airtel has to compete with ACT which offers speeds upto 40mbps upto 50GB for less than 1000Rs.
