:wall:

After reading each and every details of port forwarding in Beetel 220 BXI ADSL2 router from net still the port forwarding is not working in my case......

I have configured Apache Web Server on Port 8080 and i forwarded the same 8080 port on the ADSL2 router but still i m unable to get my index web page after i enter http://192.168.1.1:8080/ in my browser.....

I tried out other ports for forwarding but none of them worked.....

I am using Windows XP SP2 + Bitdefender Total Security 2008....

Can anybody help me out with this problem of mine??

:(

Problem:
1.http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/1449/mysettingsep5.jpg Your setting.
In your computer TCP/IP properties. What is selected ?
Obtain IP address automatically? or you have entered 192.168.1.2
2. Could you get the DDNS setting page in Beetel 220BX1 as given in the blog post . ?
3. Could you access your web site in the browser ?
Please wait for other users suggestions.

I have manually entered 192.168.1.2 in the TCP/IP properties....
Obtain IP address automatcially is unselected.....!!
but in the router settings... DHCP is enabled... and the starting IP is 192.168.1.2.....

No I cant get the DDNS page in my settings page in Beetel 220BXI as it was given in the blog...

I can normally access my websites by

http://localhost:8080
http://127.0.0.1:8080
http://192.168.1.2:8080 (if the Beetel 220BXI is on)

Since i have forwarded port 8080....

this is the port scan result...

http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/6182/portscanng3.jpg

Well thats the problem we cant access it frm internet.....

although u can try http://revelationbackup.myftp.org

http://192.168.1.2:8080 (if the Beetel 220BXI is on) thru this i can access my own website from my compu itself......

Port scan tools need your IP 122.164.xx.xx. for me 8080 not responding.

for u port 8080 is not responding coz u might not have forwarded it thru port forwarding....

mate..i think before you try to configure the no ip part.. try accessing your website directly through ip first and then get it sorted.. when you are online .. go to What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Info, Speed Test, and more and find out your current ip address should be something like 122.x.x.x then ask your friend who is outside your network(remember you cant do it inside your network) and give him the link http://122.x.x.x:8080 .dont forget to add :8080 since apache is listening to port 8080 .. If your friend is able to see your webpage like this. Then you need to do some configuring in your noip setup..

2. What about the DDNS setting ( under DNS)missing in 220BX1, whereas the blog shows the menu option in same modem.

@scram3r are you using dialer or "Always On Mode? try dialer mode.
one suggestion after a Google search. "home web server settings "

well frnd not only i tried http://122.xx.xx.xx:8080 but i also tried http://192.168.1.1:8080 its the same thing..... if it concerns with port forwarding.... any request to port 8080 on my router must be forwarded to my ip which is 192.168.1.2

Well i dont know about the dailer mode or Always On mode u r talking about.....
All i know is that when i have to connect to internet i just power on my Beetel 220BXI ADSL2 modem... n thats it i can connect to internet ... while all the other details like Local IP and DNS server IP is manually given by me in the TCP/IP properties......

Fine. unfortunately there is no Negative rating in IBF. Else I might have been thrown out /expelled/banned long back ( more than a year !) Still surviving !
I always use the term "AlwaysOn' and Dialer' to make the difference clear to newbies ( like me )
Para two :

Suggestion : can be ignored if you think it won't solve your problem.
If you know how to use Wanminiport dialer , that is "Dialer Mode". TRY. And reset your modem settings.
